The Texas Lone Star Soccer Club, the Major Arena Soccer League Women's (MASLW) newest franchise, made history on Saturday night, securing not only their first-ever home victory in a thrilling 4-2 win against the Houston Indoor Club, but also at their inaugural season opener at their home field - TOCA Carrolton.
The atmosphere was electric at TOCA Carrollton as the Lone Star team faced an extremely seasoned, experienced, and talented Houston side, widely recognized for its roster of veterans from the game of both outdoor and indoor soccer. The victory not only marks a momentous achievement for the young franchise but also signals their intent to be a competitive force in the MASLW from day one.
"This is an incredible moment for our club, our players, and our fans," said Pia Namdar, owner of the Texas Lone Star S.C. "To secure our first home win, and to do it against a strong, veteran club like Houston, speaks volumes about the talent and heart of this squad. We’re building something special here, and this is just the beginning.” With over 350 fans in attendance, the environment was electric from the start to the finish.

The Lone Stars offense was efficient and timely, with a balanced attack leading to four decisive goals.
Emily Juarez (#7) scoring the first goal for Texas Lone Star with 4:09min left in the second quarter. Then again Emily Juarez (#7) scoring a goal off the wall, assisted by Lauren Crimi (#17) with 2:09min left in the second quarter.
Alyssa Daily (#12), assisted by Emily Juarez (#7), scoring a goal in the 3rd quarter with 9:45min left.
And to close the night off, Jordan Colbert (#5) scoring the 4th goal in the 4th quarter with 8:47min left from a direct free kick.
Goalkeeper Mariana Gonzalez also delivered a strong performance, anchoring the defense and making crucial saves throughout the match to maintain the Lone Star lead.
