DALLAS, TX — Texas Lone Star S.C., the newest expansion franchise in the Major Arena Soccer League Women has announced the signing of former Liga MX Femenil standout and Mexican international Adriana “La Pulga” Calzadillas. The veteran midfielder joins the Lone Stars as a cornerstone signing, bringing a wealth of elite professional experience to the North Texas indoor soccer landscape.
Calzadillas arrives in Texas with a prestigious pedigree, having competed at the highest levels of the game across North and Central America. A familiar face to fans of Liga MX Femenil, she has featured for several of Mexico’s top flight clubs, including Club Tijuana (Xolas), Mazatlán FC, FC Juárez (Bravas), and Club Puebla.
Beyond her success in Mexico, Calzadillas has established herself as a global talent. Her career includes stints with Tsunami Azul Femenino in Costa Rica, Managua FC in Nicaragua, and most recently, a high-profile turn with Persas FC in the prestigious Queens League Américas. On the international stage, one of her career highlights includes representing Mexico at the World University Games in Kazan, Russia, where she helped lead the national team to a Silver Medal.

Adriana expressed her enthusiasm for joining the Dallas-based club and transitioning her skills to the fast-paced environment of arena soccer:
"For me, the opportunity to play with Texas Lone Star and compete in the Major Arena Soccer League represents a very important step in my career. I am motivated to be part of an organization that works with seriousness, vision, and ambition, and that has demonstrated real growth during this season," she noted. "I am excited to contribute my experience, commitment, and competitive mentality both on and off the field, while also continuing to learn and grow within a project that believes in development and teamwork. I am grateful for the trust placed in me and excited for what we can build together.”
Club officials said her experience and skills will bolster the team's MASL W presence.
“The quality of Adriana, as well as the experience she bring to our club, having played at Liga MX, the Queens League and being a top professional, reflects the quality of talent and opportunities at the higher levels our club has been able to bring exposure to and work with,” said Brad Namdar, Texas Lone Star GM and Sporting Director. “We look forward to her positive impact on and off the field.”
“We are very excited to welcome Adriana to our club,” said Pia Namdar, owner of Texas Lone Star. “Bringing a player of her international caliber and professional pedigree to our club is a testament to the ambitious project we are building here in North Texas. Adriana's success in Liga MX and on the world stage with the Mexican National Team brings an elite level of experience and leadership that will be invaluable to our roster."
Texas is next in action at home on Saturday, January 10, when they host Austin 512 FC.
